In my figure drawing class we were learning how to see and interpret the figure in different ways. Our assignment was to render the model with the use of a tennis ball dipped in paint. It was very freeing to experiment with the differant ways you could use the tennis ball. After a couple days I was suprised to later find that someone had left a note on this painting. It was a BYU student ( later found out a ceramics major) who had a class in the same room and liked my piece so much he asked to buy it. This was pretty shocking to me that someone would actually want to buy it, let alone keep it. It was so much fun to make and took about 5 minutes. So there you go- my unexpected first sold piece of art.
